Sales: Entry Level Account Representative
Advance Business Systems, Maryland's largest independent office equipment dealer, is seeking a talented individual to be a part of its dynamic Sales Team.
Responsibilities include:
- Networking, prospecting, and cold-calling to open new accounts
- Developing and maintaining relationships with customers
- Demonstrations, presentations, negotiations, proposal writing, etc.
Requirements:
Business to business sales experience is helpful, but not necessary. Candidates must have an aggressive and motivated attitude. Strong communication,
relationship-building, and social skills are a must. Organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office are essential.
Must be willing to travel in the Montgomery/Frederick County areas. A Bachelor's degree is required.

Administration: Collections Representative
Advance Business Systems is the region's largest provider of office equipment. Currently we are seeking a full time Collections Representative in our contracts department.
Responsibilities:
- Contacting clients with past due accounts to discuss collection options
- Maintaining an excellent working relationship with customers
- Researching customer disputes, presenting resolutions to customers
Requirements:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Microsoft Office software experience a must with a strong focus on creating, maintaining Excel spreadsheets
- Prior experience with collections (Commercial accounts preferred)
- 2 years minimum related office/business experience
- High school diploma

Administration: Network Administrator
Advance Business Systems, headquartered in Cockeysville, Maryland, is the region's largest independent office equipment dealer. We are seeking an organized, self-starter to join our IT Team.
Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain server and Active Directory environment.
- Review server application, security and system logs.
- Monitor and maintain backup procedures for all server and network systems.
- Assist with support and maintenance of voice, video and data infrastructure.
- Ensure all systems have the latest updates, patches and virus protection.
- Monitor system and network utilization and assist with capacity planning.
- Support and document help desk activities as required using Track-It help desk software.
- Assist in developing and maintaining procedures and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and end-user issues.
Qualifications:
- A.S. or B.S. degree in related field or similar college coursework completed.
- 3 years network administration experience in an environment of at least 100 - 150 users. Exposure to a mobile/remote user population is a plus.
- Above average knowledge of Microsoft Windows server systems (Active Directory & Windows networking) and backup systems (Symantec Backup Exec for Windows Servers) required.
- Must have a working knowledge of, and be familiar with Dell servers and related hardware, network security, LAN & WAN protocols and troubleshooting, system monitoring tools and system patching systems (WSUS).
- McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator.
- MS Exchange 2003, Barracuda Spam Firewall & Windows Mobile devices.
- Internet Information Services (IIS).
- MS Windows XP & MS Office 2003 applications (especially MS Outlook).
- Batch scripting (Kixtart, VBScript, etc).
- Must have great attention to detail and possess strong communication and excellent customer service skills.
Skills that are a plus:
Layer three routing and switching. VMWare Server. Sonicwall firewalls and VPN concepts/configurations. VoIP. SQL 2005. Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery Server or similar imaging products. Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 and Citrix Access Gateway. Relevant industry certifications (MCP, MCSA, MCSE, CCA, A+/Net+, etc.).
